O violoncelista arxentina Sol Gabetta fixo súa estrea Philharmoniker en 2014 Easter Festival in Baden-Baden with Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, o gran traballo final do compositor. The conductor and orchestra also performed the prelude to Wagner’s Lohengrin, György Ligeti’s orchestral piece Atmosphères and Igor Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps, un traballo que é totalmente focado no futuro e empurra os límites da música clásica en termos de son, ritmo e enerxía.
