10/26/2017, Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston, IL: The world premier of CEM (Portuguese for 100) by Chilean Composers/Guitarist Javier Contreras, winner of the 2017 LMF Composition Challenge “Year of Samba”. Performed by guitarist Ana Vidovic and violinist David Lisker, playing here on a new Brazilian violin made by Luiz Amorim.

With 2017 marking the 100 year anniversary since the first recorded samba, Lisker Music Foundation set out to challenge composers to write a piece to commemorate this beloved genre.
